Can I manage license keys for Tecplot 360, Tecplot Focus, and/or Tecplot RS all wiht the same license server installation?
Answer:
Yes, but with some limitations of the FLEXnet License Manager. You will need to request license keys for all products separately and then use the license keys according to the requirements below:
Reprise License Manager: Each product’s license key, if compiled together in the same tecplotlm.lic file, must have the same HOST/SERVER and ISV/VENDOR lines as the other products’. Otherwise, the Reprise License manager will manage only the product(s) associated with the first instance of the HOST/SERVER and ISV/VENDOR lines in the file. If these lines vary, use separate license files for each product (you can name them differently, but use the .lic extension). Place the license file(s) (with the extension .lic) in the license manager’s installation folder and the license manager will compile each product’s license and manage them.
FLEXnet License Manager: The keys for each product must have the same SERVER and VENDOR lines and only one key per product (that is, Tecplot 360, Tecplot Focus, and/or Tecplot RS) is allowed. Otherwise, FLEXnet will manage only the first instance of each product license in the file.
