The new features in Tecplot RS 2014 are:
1. Quick RFT
Quick RFT is a new feature to Tecplot RS 2014 R1. The Quick RFT plot is used when exploring 3D grid solutions. Users can click on any grid cell, and the Quick RFT will create a plot of the current grid variable versus depth for the column cells that includes the selected cell. This provides a very fast method for interrogating the grid and understanding how the grid properties vary with depth.

2. drag and drop for unified summary files use ‘Auto-append secondary files’ in ‘Load XY Data’ dialog
The drag and drop capability for unified summary files has been modified to use the ‘Auto-append secondary files’ option in the ‘Load XY Data’ dialog. This prevents the automatic loading and appending of RFT files unless the user specifically selects the auto-append option.
3. pore volume used to determine inactive cells for .grid and .egrid files
4. default setting for statistical plots is now ‘Visible’ cells
5. time slider controls inactive when only static grid property is used
